Dear parents and carers Toddlers this week have been developing their gross motor skills and movements but exploring the garden and running around open space, learning to ride the bikes and drawing on the floor with chalk. They enjoyed experimenting with the corn flour feeling the different textures from soft to hard. This week our AM star of the week was Arham for coming in everyday enthusiastically and being imaginative with his friends. Our PM star of the week was Yakub for being confident and verbal during his play. Well done to you both keep up the good work. It’s really important that if you decide to leave your pram at nursery it must be folded to accommodate all of the prams fitting inside the buggy shelter. As I have noticed many prams coming out of the buggy shelter and onto the drive way and parents who prams are at the back can’t their pram as the other prams aren’t folded. As myself or staff can’t always be standing downstairs as it’s very busy in the rooms. If you are unable to fold your pram unfortunately you will have to take your pram home with you. Next week is our last week before we break up for half term. Hope you all have a lovely weekend Toddler Girls

Hi All,
This week the children have used one handed tools to pick up the sand using the spades. Some children were able to describe the textures of sand, shells etc. The children have been talking about past experience when they visited the seaside. Reminder: As the weather is getting warmer please can you ensure your child is dressed appropriate for the weather. Please can you also name their jackets and belongings. Also can I remind you to leave toys at home as this prevents them from getting lost and damaged. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Pre School Team 😊 Dear parents/ carers
Toddlers this week have been exploring with different textures by feeling different textures with their hands, using paintbrushes, pots and containers etc. They can also been using blocks and bricks to build with creating their very own structures and commenting saying what they had built. The children were fantastic when having the photos taken earlier this week. The proof should arrive at the nursery by the end of half term where you will be able to order the photos online, if you wish to. As soon as we have the proofs back they will be handed out to the child’s parents. Our morning star of the week goes to Shita for settling well into nursery and our afternoon star of the week goes to Ubs for playing nicely with others. Well done to you both keep up the good work. Hopefully, they will be back before the end of the term.
The children thoroughly enjoyed our messy area. They have used one-handed tools to pick up the pasta and categories into coloured bowls. **Can I remind parents if you have a buggy can you please fold them into the shelter. Also can you please leave toys at home as this prevents them from getting lost or damaged at nursery. Parents can you also ensure you are providing nappies and wipes for your child.** Thank you. Have a lovely weekend Pre School Team😊 Hi All,
This week the children have been busy painting their hands to represent the Union Jack 🇬🇧 They have also enjoyed decorating their crowns using collage materials, as part of our activity. Due to the weather condition today we were unable to do our garden party. The children still enjoyed the indoor party. 😁 Well done to all those that participated in making a crown. They all looked very creative. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy the Royal celebrations 👑🇬🇧 Pre School Team 😊 Dear Parents/Carers
This week toddlers have been super busy creating their crowns, and decorations and doing fun activities in preparation for the King’s coronation over the weekend. Today we had a tea party and unfortunately due to the weather, we were unable to have it in the garden but still managed to have a lovely time inside. It was wonderful seeing so many children dressed up for the occasion and the amazing crowns they made at home. Well done to everyone who took part they were all brilliant. Also, Jenny, Jody, Georgia and Sultana took part in their very own crown competition and you can see their crowns in the picture. Our morning star of the week is Mahdee for settling into nursery and our afternoon star of the week is Saladin for playing nicely with others. Well done to you both Next week we will be closed on Monday 8th May 23 for the bank holiday and will be back to nursery on Tuesday 9th May 23. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and enjoys the kings' coronation by watching it on the tv or going somewhere to enjoy the celebrations. Toddler Girls The nursery photographer will be coming to take portrait photos of the children on Wednesday 10th may. There is no commitment to purchase and do let a member of staff know if you do not want your child's photo taken. You will be able to view the photographs and order them online and they will be back before the end of term.
Dear parents/carers
Toddlers this week have been using a variety of different one-handed tools to develop their fine motor skills by using a spade to fill up a bucket and empty, threading painting and drawing freely. Our morning star of the week goes to David.A. for beginning to settle into nursery and explore the setting more. Our afternoon star of the week goes to Mahdiya for settling well into nursery. Well done to you both and keep up the good work. We had a lovely time at our Eid party and thank you to the children for showing us your amazing Eid outfits. Next week is the Kings coronation and the children are welcome to wearing anything red, white and blue on Friday 5th May to celebrate the Kings coronation where we will be having a small tea party with the children only. Have a great weekend Toddler Girls Hi All,
Welcome back everyone, hope all had a lovely half term. This week we have been busy making Eid Cards and decorating them with glitter. Eid Party will be next week Friday 28th for both sessions. Please can we ask that parents bring in an item of finger food for the children to share at the party. • Biscuits • Crisps • Small cakes • As its Eid it would be lovely to have some home cooked Asian food too 😊 ie. Samosas, nuggets, pakoras. Punctuality Please could we ask that children arrive in good time for the nursery session. We understand that there may be rare occasions when you are unavoidably late due to unforeseen circumstances and that many of you have excellent punctuality habits and bring your child to nursery on time every day but we still have a number of children who arrive late each day. This is happening a lot in the mornings, and we are suggesting that these families consider an afternoon place if the morning routine is difficult. It is essential that you ensure that your child arrives at nursery on time to prevent disruption to your child’s own learning and that of others. When children arrive late it takes staff away from activities, they were doing with other children so they can answer the door. Having to join the group when everybody else is settled can embarrass and worry many children. A regular five minutes a day adds up to a whole three days a year! Ten minutes late and the most important learning for the day is often lost, children are arriving after tasks have been introduced, and are starting the day at a disadvantage. Being frequently late for nursery adds up to lost learning: • Arriving 5 minutes late every day adds up to over 3 days lost each year. • Arriving 15 minutes late every day is the same as being absent for 2 weeks a year. • Arriving 30 minutes late every day is the same as being absent for 19 days a year 🌟🌟Eid Mubarak to those that will be celebrating this special day. Hope you have a lovely weekend 🌟🌟 We return back to nursery on Monday as usual. Thank you Pre School Team 😁 |
