Dear parents and carers
This week preschool have been busy making their Valentine’s Day card to take home. They used heart shaped cutters, their hand print or finger prints to decorate their cards, helping to taking about their emotions. Also, they made biscuits to take home. They weighted the ingredients out and mixed them together to make the dough. This all helps their development and learning around physical and understand different concepts. We hope you enjoyed the biscuits. This week our am star of the week is Aaira for being to participate in group activities and our pm star of the week Taufiq for being to follow nursery printings. Well done to you both keep up the good job. Next week we are on half term and the nursery will be closed and reopen on Monday 19th February 24. We hope you all have a lovely half term Jenny and preschool girls.

Dear parents and carers,
We hope you have had a good week. This week the children have enjoyed the role play area learning about different occupations ie: builder, where they enjoyed dressing up and exploring the different one handed tools that a builder would use developing their language and imagination. The children were exploring different sensorial textures on the tuff tray with lot’s of sea animals and a farm with farm animals for them to name and make different sounds. We enjoyed singing old Mac Donald had a farm and looking at books of animals. This week’s Am star ⭐️ of the week is Afrahim for settling in well into nursery. Our Pm star ⭐️ of the week is Callum for settling in and being helpful at tidy up time. Thank you to all the parents who are folding their buggies 😊 We are still having a few problems with 1 or 2 parents not putting theirs down and from next week if parents don’t fold them, they will be unable to leave them at the nursery. We are getting busier so its going to take some juggling to get them in. Please can we ask that people put their buggies on the left or right side so that there is a clear path for parents to get down the middle. Also if parents that arrive first put theirs towards the rear on the left-hand or right-hand side, then the shelter is easy to get in and out of as there is a clear path down the middle. Why not walk to nursery? Whilst we appreciate some families travel a distance and this isn’t possible, we would encourage others to as walking to the nursery is good for children. The children notice so much about the world around them when they go out for a walk. They notice the changing seasons, leaves falling off the trees in Autumn, and daffodils and bluebells appearing in Spring. And they all know walking is great exercise and keeps our bodies and minds healthy. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend or add another shelter as the council won’t give us planning permission so if we can all work together, we can store as many as possible and in the meantime, we will look at other options. We managed it at the end of this week 😊 We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all next week. Dawn and Toddler room girls. Dear parents and carers

We hope you all had a great week. This week in Toddler room the children have had fun developing their gross motor-skills in the garden. They were riding in the cars and on the scooters taking turns and sharing. We made an obstacle course using the stepping stones, where the children practised their balancing, going from one step to another. We did some colour sorting activities where the children had to name the colours and sort them into the correct containers, helping to develop their maths skills and communication and language. This weeks am star ⭐️ of the week is Adam for maintaining his attention during play with his Kp. Pm ⭐️ Of the week is Bryson for welcoming his new friends to the nursery. Well done 👏. Just a reminder (and for the benefit of new parents) that everyone needs to fold their buggies if they are leaving them at the nursery. We are unable to accommodate all the buggies in the buggy shelter unless they are folded. If parents are unable to fold them then kindly could you take them home, please. Please also refrain from leaving buggies on the driveway during the sessions instead of in the shelter. We had an incident this week where a buggy was left, and it blew across the driveway and out of the rear gate almost hitting a parent and child who were leaving as well as vehicles parked in the residents car park. Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week. Dawn and Toddler girl’s. Dear parents and carers
