Dear parents and carers
This week we have been observing our caterpillars and they have all near crystallised. The children have been asking all week if they are butterflies yet and we have been explaining to them the process just like the hungry caterpillar book. We have done a lot activities with the children around using our imagination in their play this week, helping to develop many fundamental skills. We had a school theme for children going to school in September to understand transitioning and having new friends and teachers. We had a dinosaur swamp and we found a snail hiding in the leafs which the children were fascinated with. This week our am star of the week is a Nawful for participating well during small group activities and our pm star of the week is Sadiq for being helpful during tidy up times. Well done to you both keep up the good work. Next week the weather is meant improve with temperatures rising. Can we kindly ask parents to apply suncream before nursery and we will reapply if needed. If you haven’t already signed the consent form for a member of staff to apply suncream, you can next week. As the weather also warms up the children may get wet playing with water or having water fights to keep cool them off. Can I kindly ask you to ensure your child has spare clothes, so if they do become wet we have change them. We hope you have all a lovely weekend. Jenny and preschool girls
