Dear parents and carers,
This week the children have enjoyed some fun tuff tray activities. They were able to explore different textures, Mud and wet mud, the children enjoyed developing their imagination playing with the trucks . We made a tuff tray with coloured rice and sand and we added sea creatures, talking about where they live and naming them. In messy play staff and children made a Santa chimney and our Christmas post box for letters to Santa 🎅. We talked about up coming event’s. This weeks Am star ⭐️ of the week is Archie for playing nicely with other’s. Pm Star ⭐️ of the week is Abdullah for exploring different activities. Well done 👏. Children In Need Thank you everyone we raised £120 towards children in need this year 😊 Christmas Jumper Day Thursday 7th of December we will be celebrating Christmas Jumper Day. Children can come in wearing a Christmas jumper, make one at home or come to nursery wearing something green or red e.g. a T-shirt, shirt or plain jumper but don’t worry if you can’t. We have attached a few pictures of DIY Christmas jumpers that you could use with materials from home e.g. cotton pads with glue to create a snowman. Toddlers' Christmas Performances and Party We are looking forward to everyone joining us for our Christmas performances and parties this year which take place on Friday 15th December. We are expecting a visit from Santa! The day will be very busy, and both the pre-school and toddlers will be using the upstairs movement for their allocated time. This means we will be moving children and parents around the building, so we need to organise the day, so it runs smoothly. We are detailing the arrangements below, so everyone is aware of what entrances they are using along with timings. Toddler Room Morning Sessions – Starts 10.45am. Staff will open the door (the car park entrance by the bins) just before 10.45. This is to avoid Pre-school children/parents and toddlers’ parents being stuck in a people jam on the main stairs. You will then be able to go up to the toddler movement space for the performance. Once the performance is over, they will be able to enjoy party food and a visit from Santa upstairs. Toddler Room Afternoon Sessions – Starts 2.45pm. Staff will open the door (the car park entrance by the bins) just before 2.45pm. This is to avoid Pre-school children/parents and toddlers’ parents being stuck in a people jam on the main stairs. You will then be able to go up to the toddler movement space for the performance. Once the performance is over, they will be able to enjoy party food and a visit from Santa upstairs. Once the main crowds have cleared and performances are over moving around and entering and exiting the nursery will be easy. Please can we ask parents to bring in some finger food for children to share at the party. E.g. crisps, biscuits, cakes and savoury food/snacks. Please can we ask that no food contains peanuts, strawberries or kiwi as we have several children with severe allergies. We are aware that some parents have applied to start school nursery in January 2024. Please can you let us know ASAP if your child is allocated a place so we know what availability we have for January. Please kindly note that the nursery operates a 1 month notice period as we have been in the position where we have turned children down for a placement and then a child has started school, and we have been left with an empty place. Whilst this doesn’t stop children from taking up school places, funding won’t be transferred until after the notice period. Have a lovely weekend . See you all next week. From Dawn and Toddler room staff
