Dear parents and Carers,
This week the children have enjoyed some physical activities in the garden. They enjoyed an obstacle course, stepping stones, hoops and croquet. All of which help the children to develop their gross motor skills ie. How to balance, special awareness, moving and handling. The children had a teddy bears picnic, encouraging the children to develop their communication and language and imagination. We played what’s in the bag, which is where the children learn to take turns and choose an object from the bag to name. We had a pasta threading activity helping to develop their hand eye co ordination and fine motor skills. We set up a garden activity where the children could feel the soil and explore the seeds encouraging them to talk about how it feels and what they can see and different things that we can see in the garden. We also looked at books on mini beasts . This weeks Am Star of the week David for potty training and eating all his lunch. Pm Star of the week is Safwan for settling in well into nursery. Well done 👏. We hope you all enjoy your weekend. See you all next week. Dawn and Toddler room staff.
