Dear parents and carers
Welcome back to nursery, we hope you all had a lovely half term. Pre school have been busy this week talking about events that have been happening and activities around these events. This week preschool makes their own pumpkins by scooping out the insides and using the pumpkin seeds to plant their own pumpkins. They enjoyed making and decorating their own biscuits. The used the weighing scales to weigh each ingredient out and mix together into a bowl helping to develop their fine and gross motor skills. The children also made their own firework paintings using paint, a fork and glitter and made their own fireworks using melted chocolate, sprinkles and breadsticks. This weekend is guy fawks night on 5th November 2023, please be careful if you are going to a firework display or doing them at home as they can be dangerous. It would be great to see pictures if you go see a display. This week our star of the week is Omar (am session) for being more confident in speaking and Olivia (pm session) for beginning to share attention with an adult. Well done to you both, keep up the good work. We are aware that some parents have applied to start school nursery in January 2024. Please can you let us know ASAP if your child is allocated a place so we know what availability we have for January. Please kindly note that the nursery operates a 1 month notice period as we have been in the position where we have turned children down for a placement and then a child has started school, and we have been left with an empty place. Whilst this doesn’t stop children from taking up school places, funding won’t be transferred until after the notice period. We hope you all have a lovely weekend Jenny and preschool girls.
