Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you have all had a good week. This week the children have enjoyed a range of fun activities. We had a fun garden activity here the children were able to explore the kinds of things that we find in the garden ie: insects. We read a book about how things grow. The children scooped soil into plant pots and watered it using the watering can. We extended our activity by exploring our own nursery garden, talking about what we can see and hear. We had a fun tuff tray activity with Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We read the book together then the children enjoyed pretending to feed mummy bear, baby bear and daddy bear some porridge. The children were able to differentiate between big, medium and small bowls. We explored colour using drops of paint and washing up liquid and talked about what colours we could see. We had an ice activity where the children enjoyed exploring the sensory feeling of ice , how does it feel? Hot or cold, hard or soft.. The children had fun trying to break he ice to get the different objects out of the ice to name. We had an activity with babies and paint which we pretended were make up. They enjoyed making a mess and cleaning the babies when they were finished. This weeks Am Star ⭐️ of the week is Aaira for settling in well into nursery. Our Pm Star ⭐️ of the week is Clark also for Settling in well at Nursery. Well done 👏. We hope you all enjoy your Bank holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday. Dawn and Toddler room staff.
